　　隨著改革開(kāi)放不斷深入和社會(huì)主義市場(chǎng)經(jīng)濟(jì)的迅速發(fā)展，我國(guó)對(duì)具有較高的專業(yè)外語(yǔ)水平的法律人才的需求量日益增長(zhǎng)，為適應(yīng)這一形勢(shì)的要求，我們特請(qǐng)司法部所屬五所政法院校從事法律英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的教師編寫了《法律英語(yǔ)教程》，以供業(yè)已達(dá)到大學(xué)英語(yǔ)四級(jí)或六級(jí)水平的大專院校學(xué)生繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)使用。本教程以培養(yǎng)學(xué)生閱讀和理解法學(xué)各專業(yè)文章及書(shū)籍能力為目的，同時(shí)要求學(xué)生能掌握一定的法律英語(yǔ)翻譯技巧，對(duì)中等難度的文章的翻譯速度達(dá)到每小時(shí)1000單詞左右，準(zhǔn)確率不低于70%。本書(shū)選材新穎，題材廣泛。該書(shū)在編寫過(guò)程中注意語(yǔ)言的實(shí)用性，且注重增加詞匯輸入量，提高復(fù)現(xiàn)率，加強(qiáng)語(yǔ)感的培養(yǎng)。整個(gè)教材分為上、下兩冊(cè)，由淺入深，難度逐漸增大。上冊(cè)選文多為法學(xué)基礎(chǔ)理論簡(jiǎn)介，下冊(cè)則著重介紹有關(guān)民、商法及司法文書(shū)等實(shí)用性較強(qiáng)的內(nèi)容。
