《21世紀(jì)大學(xué)英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)視聽(tīng)說(shuō)教程》是普通高等教育國(guó)家級(jí)重點(diǎn)教材，2002年全國(guó)優(yōu)秀教材二等獎(jiǎng)。該教程在教學(xué)實(shí)踐中，備受師生青睞，為全國(guó)越來(lái)越多的高校廣泛采用。最近教育部頒布了《大學(xué)英語(yǔ)課程教學(xué)要求（試行）》，對(duì)大學(xué)英語(yǔ)的教學(xué)提出了更高的要求。根據(jù)《要求》，我們編寫(xiě)了《普通高等教育“十一五”國(guó)家級(jí)規(guī)劃教材？21世紀(jì)大學(xué)英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)視聽(tīng)說(shuō)教程》。《普通高等教育“十一五”國(guó)家級(jí)規(guī)劃教材？21世紀(jì)大學(xué)英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)視聽(tīng)說(shuō)教程》以功能訓(xùn)練貫穿始終，采用了視、聽(tīng)、說(shuō)相結(jié)合的方法，充分利用現(xiàn)代化教學(xué)手段，旨在全面提高學(xué)生的聽(tīng)說(shuō)能力。本教程內(nèi)容豐富，題材廣泛，形式多樣，語(yǔ)言地道，由淺人深，環(huán)環(huán)相扣。本教材共八個(gè)單元，每單元由四部分組成。第一部分為“交際技能”（communication skillS）。主要強(qiáng)調(diào)功能訓(xùn)練以及視（video watching）、聽(tīng)（1istening）和說(shuō)（speaking）的統(tǒng)一，強(qiáng)調(diào)語(yǔ)言輸入和輸出的有機(jī)結(jié)合。本教程的一個(gè)顯著特點(diǎn)是增加了“視”的內(nèi)容，這無(wú)疑有助于提高學(xué)生的聽(tīng)說(shuō)能力。第二部分圍繞貼近大學(xué)生生活的主題（theine）展開(kāi)聽(tīng)說(shuō)訓(xùn)練。除了傳統(tǒng)的聽(tīng)說(shuō)項(xiàng)目外，本部分還增加了“美國(guó)之音”（VOA Special English Program）的聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練，使學(xué)生了解、掌握“真實(shí)英語(yǔ)”（authentiC English）。當(dāng)然在選材時(shí)也充分考慮到其難易程度，以及與主題的相關(guān)性。第三部分為“聽(tīng)力技巧”（1istening Strategy）。每一單元圍繞某一技巧組織聽(tīng)力材料，通過(guò)實(shí)踐使學(xué)生掌握聽(tīng)力技巧。在材料的取舍、練習(xí)的安排方面，充分顧及到學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)水平及語(yǔ)言材料的可操練性，從而體現(xiàn)以學(xué)生為中心的理念。最后部分為“泛聽(tīng)”（extensive listening）。這部分加入了“影視欣賞”和“歌曲欣賞”（moviewatching），這也是本教程的“亮點(diǎn)”之一。它既可以提高學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣，又可以檢驗(yàn)學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)綜合運(yùn)用能力。教師可把這部分看作是前三部分的補(bǔ)充和加強(qiáng)，可視實(shí)際情況，靈活選用。本套教程以國(guó)外先進(jìn)的網(wǎng)絡(luò)教學(xué)系統(tǒng)為教學(xué)平臺(tái)，給師生提供最優(yōu)的互動(dòng)支持，既解決了目前師資緊缺的難題，又為學(xué)生開(kāi)展自主學(xué)習(xí)提供了方便。本教程視聽(tīng)說(shuō)內(nèi)容涉及到日常生活中方方面面，故無(wú)論是高職高專(zhuān)的學(xué)生，還是大學(xué)本科的學(xué)生，乃至研究生，均可選擇適合自己的話(huà)題和內(nèi)容進(jìn)行口語(yǔ)訓(xùn)練。
