　　《簡(jiǎn)明中外文明發(fā)展進(jìn)程》是一部簡(jiǎn)明的歷史工具書(shū)，以詞條形式，介紹自遠(yuǎn)古到20世紀(jì)初葉中外文明史上的重要史事。 全書(shū)編集近1500個(gè)詞條，以時(shí)間為線，同步展現(xiàn)中外文明發(fā)展歷程中的重大事件、影響歷史進(jìn)程的關(guān)鍵人物、科學(xué)技術(shù)和文化藝術(shù)發(fā)展的重要成果。在對(duì)照與關(guān)聯(lián)中，勾勒世界各大文明的發(fā)展脈絡(luò)，探求它們的相互影響和相互交融。 本書(shū)將為讀者理解中華文明提供一個(gè)廣闊的世界視角，也為理解西方文明提供東方的參照。 This is a concise reference book， with entries on major events in Chinese and foreign civilizations dating from remote antiquity to the early 20th century. The entries are objectively presented， based on records from historical documents published in China and abroad， and the compilers have also consulted authoritative academic works and reference books.

　　郭伯南，1933年生，河北省任丘市人。河北北京師院文學(xué)系畢業(yè)?！度嗣裰袊?guó)》雜志社編審。主要編著有：《中華五千年史話》、《彩圖版？中華文明史》、《上下一萬(wàn)年？圖說(shuō)中國(guó)通史》、《東方智慧寶庫(kù)〈易經(jīng)〉》、《度量衡起源新說(shuō)》、《文物縱橫談》、《文物鑒賞100 講》、《華夏風(fēng)物探源》、《茶余飯后談文化》、《中華文明概覽》等。外文版有：《物語(yǔ)？中國(guó)の歷史》（日）、《中國(guó)書(shū)法藝術(shù)入門(mén)》（英、法、德）、《中國(guó)文化史入門(mén)》（日）、《中國(guó)文化ルツ》（日）、《秦始皇帝の兵馬俑》（日）等。 包倩怡，1975年生，浙江省余姚市人。中國(guó)對(duì)外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)英語(yǔ)學(xué)院經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)學(xué)士和文學(xué)碩士；后為中國(guó)對(duì)外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)講師，從事英語(yǔ)教學(xué)、歐洲史專題研究和該專題的研究生課程教學(xué)工作。曾受商務(wù)部派遣，赴歐盟翻譯總司接受同聲傳譯培訓(xùn)。主要作品有：《牛津商務(wù)英語(yǔ)教程—成功演講》（合作改編）；譯作《廣告》、《迷人的側(cè)影》（收于《歐亨利短篇小說(shuō)選》），《背著薯?xiàng)l闖世界》（合譯）等。 Guo Bonan， a senior editor at the People’s China （in Japanese） monthly in Beijing. A researcher in the history of Chinese culture， he has authored and compiled a number of books on Chinese civilization， with some of them translated into English， French， German， and Japanese. Bao Qianyi， received her Bachelor of Commerce and MA in English Literature from the University of International Business and Economics （UIBE）. Upon graduation in 2000， she joined the Faculty of English in UIBE. She was trained as a conference interpreter at Directorate General for Interpretation of the European Commission. Returned to UIBE in 2004， she started to run a seminar course for the postgraduates on history of Europe.
