I can love both faire and browne,

Her whom abundance melts, and her whom want betraies,

Her who loves lonenesse best, and her who maskes and plaies,

Her whom the country form'd, and whom the town,

我可以白的、黑的都愛(ài)上，

既愛(ài)她豐腴欲化，也愛(ài)她不勝嬌弱，

既愛(ài)她性喜孤獨(dú)，也愛(ài)她嬉鬧活潑，

既愛(ài)她鄉(xiāng)下出身，也愛(ài)她城里生長(zhǎng)，

既愛(ài)她輕信，也愛(ài)她多疑，　

既愛(ài)她兩眼似海綿，永遠(yuǎn)哭啼啼，

也愛(ài)她好像干木頭，從來(lái)不啜泣；

我可以愛(ài)她，和她，還有你，和你，

我可以誰(shuí)都愛(ài)，所以她不真心實(shí)意。

難道沒(méi)別的惡習(xí)滿(mǎn)足你們？　

像你們母親那樣生活，不合心意？

抑或舊的惡習(xí)已用完，現(xiàn)在要找別的？

抑或內(nèi)疚，恐怕男人動(dòng)真心？

哦，我們才不呢，你們也不要，

維納斯聽(tīng)了我這一曲詠嘆，
